WHY NOW

}

STUCK GETS MORE EXPENSIVE EVERY YEAR

Staying stuck is a cycle: anxiety feeds avoidance, avoidance feeds staying stuck, and staying stuck creates more anxiety. Then another year has gone by where nothing’s changed.

It costs real money too. At the workshop, we’ll add up how much this costs families per year and what you can invest in that actually moves the needle.

Diagnosis or no diagnosis, stuck is solvable.

THE PLAN

}

WHAT YOU’LL LEAVE WITH

One hour on Zoom with us, live. Bring your questions and your co-parent. You’ll leave with:

1

What’s actually keeping your kid stuck

it’s not just the diagnosis that’s holding them back

2

Why holding them accountable isn’t working, and what to do instead

the same sentence lands completely differently depending on who says it

3

How momentum gets built when nothing sticks

why an hour of therapy per week was never designed to build momentum

THE FIRST MOVE IS YOURS WHEN YOU REGISTER

The First Move, Not Therapy’s free two-page guide for parents of stuck young adults

Every registrant gets The First Move, our two-page guide on what to do this week when your young adult is stuck. It’s written by our coaches, the people who were your kid once, and it’s in your inbox the moment your seat is saved.

WE BUILT THIS BECAUSE WE LIVED IT

Five Not Therapy coaches sitting together on the beach, talking as the sun sets over the ocean

We’re Colin and Hayley, the co-founders of Not Therapy. We both spent our teen years in psych wards, wilderness, and residential treatment. Everyone had a diagnosis for us. What actually got us moving was having someone slightly ahead of us in our corner, so that’s the thing we built.

Our team of 10 coaches has all been through their own version of what your kid is going through. We work with young adults in their actual daily lives: daily texts, regular calls, real-world visits. After 60+ families, nothing you’re going through would surprise us.

TESTIMONIALS

HEAR FROM OUR CLIENTS

Cooper and Wynee (Mother)

"As a parent, you're often completely aware of the potential in your kid, but when they don't know it, it's devastating. There's a new level of awareness and acceptance I've never seen in Cooper before. This is the first time I've seen glimpses that he might end up being excited about his life."

Theo

"Ever since working with Not Therapy, it helped me come back to the reality of being back in society after wilderness."

Addie

"The biggest change has been with my social life, how comfortable I am with myself, and how that projects onto meeting other people."

Tagore

"Before Not Therapy, I had given up on improving my mental health through therapy and medication. After Not Therapy, I regained a lot of confidence. I can take charge. I can trust other people to help me."

WHAT PARENTS SAY

}

“Since we started with Not Therapy, even my blood pressure has come down. As a parent, you are often completely aware of the potential in your kid, but when they don’t know it, it is devastating, and watching their coach help him finally see it changed everything.”

WYNEE, PARENT, CHICAGO

“The coach’s personal experience as a self admitted troubled teen is what we believe, allowed him to connect with our son in a way no other therapist or program has been able to do.”

RENEE, PARENT

“I was desperate to get help for my 29-year-old son. It was the best thing that ever happened. He is the first person in 29 years that helped us!!”

LAURA, PARENT

“We felt that Michael was ready to go to college after working with Not Therapy.”

CHRISTINE, PARENT

“The coach was relatable and presented more like a big brother than a therapist.”

LINDA, PARENT OF JARED, 21

WHO THIS IS FOR

}

YOU’LL GET THE MOST OUT OF THIS IF

You’ve handled everything in your life except this

Your kid is 18 to 29 and technically capable, maybe with ADHD, autism, or a different mental health diagnosis

There’s treatment history: therapy, meds, maybe even a program. You gained insight, but the change hasn’t happened yet.

You’re ready to invest in serious support, and you’ll do your part at home too

You want your kid to be financially and emotionally independent, and if they’re still living at home, to move out of the house

If that’s your house, save your seat and bring your co-parent.

ONE MORE THING

COME MEET US LIVE

One hour on Zoom, [WEBINAR DATE + TIME]. Free, no obligation, and you’ll leave with things to use this week whether or not you ever work with us.

Not Therapy is coaching. We don’t diagnose or treat mental health conditions, and we’re not a crisis service. If your family needs clinical care, we’ll be the first to say so. Outcome figures come from our own client surveys.
